Kevin O. Dixson affectionately known as "Pastor Kevin" is the Senior Pastor, overseer of First Baptist Church. He attended Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, MI. Pastor Kevin was licensed and ordained at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of his grandfather Emeritus Pastor H.B. Dixson. It is Pastor Kevin's desire to teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a practical and relevant manner. His messages are designed to equip, empower, encourage and enlighten the saints so that they may live better lives. As a pastor, teacher, and speaker, he serves the body of Christ through his unique ability to communicate complex theological truths through simple, yet profound, illustrations. 

Pastor Kevin has always pursued a church that goes “beyond  the walls,” in an ongoing effort to touch lives with the love of God. He has always been known in the community for his love of basketball and coaching at multiple high schools. Pastor Kevin has taken that gift, God has given to him, and used it as a vehicle to reach the lost. In the year of 2004 he established a Christian community basketball ministry where many are introduced to Christ. It is also his feeling that First Baptist Church must have a positive and powerful impact on its community bringing hope and uplift in every way possible.

Pastor Kevin is honored to be married to Lady Tonya Dixson and they are proud parents of three children: Keith, Kalen and Keinyi. Additionally they are blessed to have a beautiful daughter in love, granddaughter and grandson. Pastor Kevin lives with a mission to build relationships through the Word of God. No Judging! No pressure! He has a heart and passion for parables to teach and preach the gospel just as Jesus did according to Matthew 13:13.

Tonya Dixson is an inspirational woman of God who leads with wisdom and grace as she demonstrates a profound love for God and compassion for people. She is a native of Flint Michigan, the devoted wife of Pastor Kevin Dixson. They have been in marital covenant since June 10, 1989. She is First Lady of First Baptist Church. Lady Tonya is known for her endless love and wisdom, which she pours unreservedly into women. All who meet her are drawn to her instantly. She is the director, founder and oversees of "Sister In Season" Women's Ministry. The goal of S.I.S is to encourage, motivate, inspire, and most importantly, empower women of God with the word of God. 

Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, God is using Lady Tonya to aid in strengthening and supporting women. Wanting to see them encouraged and empowered. She has a desire to see women challenged and changed, to see every woman fulfill their God given destiny primarily to become women of virtue. Lady Tonya holds a degree in Medical Business Administration and has a been an Entrepreneur and successful business owner, as a licensed manicurist, for over 24 years. She is also, an Author and Inspirational Speaker. 

While obligations to professional and ministerial commitments are important, Lady Tonya maintains that her primary commitment is to her family. She serves as her husband’s helpmate working faithfully beside him with poise and dignity as a loving wife and mother to their three children. Additionally they are blessed to have a beautiful Daughter in-Love and two grandchildren. Although she wears many hats, she realizes that her first ministry is to her husband and children. She firmly believes that no amount of success can compensate for failure at home.
